Erin Schreck

Title

Leave of Absence Coordinator

Education

B.S. in Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing, University of San Francisco

Erin joined the Xenium team in early 2019 as our Leave of Absence Coordinator, where she is responsible for providing comprehensive leave management support and consultation to Xenium clients. This is a brand new chapter for Erin as she transitions back into the workforce after spending the last 13 years at home raising her three daughters. She is excited to return to work in a role where she can support clients in managing their leaves of absence.

Erin brings 11 years of HR and office management experience to her new role, including new hire orientation and benefits overview, employee relations and relocation policy implementation. After graduating from the University of San Francisco with her B.S. in Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing, she started her career in the financial services industry, followed by time spent working with start-up technology companies in San Francisco. Her most recent experience was with the Australian Consulate-General in San Francisco, developing leads for U.S. companies with potential for investment in Australia.

She heard about Xenium through a friend and former coworker who has been with Xenium for a number of years. Erin was impressed by what her friend said about our culture, integrity and commitment to service. When she was ready to return to work, she waited for the right role within Xenium to become available and she is now happy to be here!

Erin was born in Connecticut but spent most of her life in the California Bay Area, with a few years in San Diego and a few years in Boston. Her husband’s family lives here in Portland, which helped them decide to make the move north a few years ago. She loves the natural beauty of Oregon and happens to be a big fan of rain! She loves to cook, garden, decorate her home, and especially loves travelling to experience new cultures. Her favorite trip was an African safari in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. Her daughters are aged 8-12, and their entire family likes to take their labradoodle Finn on weekend hikes. She also loves to read (biographies and documentaries are favorites, for their ability to inspire and show new perspectives), attend concerts (music ranging from baroque to reggae), and she especially enjoys cooking Mediterranean cuisine for its taste and health benefits. She is drawn to do what she can to protect our natural resources and wildlife.
