Katie joined Xenium as an HR Generalist in June 2018. In this role, she works with many different clients managing HR needs that include guidance/compliance, employee relations, handbook and job description development, onboarding, and benefit enrollment.
Before coming to Xenium, most of her experience was in retail management. For seven years, she oversaw HR at both the community- and flagship store–levels of a major clothing chain that generated up to $14.2 million in sales annually.
Katie is passionate about exceeding client expectations. She is skilled at anticipating client and business needs, developing unique ideas and articulating them to diverse audiences, thinking beyond existing practices to find innovative solutions, and adapting to changing circumstances.
She received her B.A.’s from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where she studied Spanish, art history, film theory, and journalism/mass communications. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, lived in San Francisco, California, for seven years, and landed in Portland about two years ago. She is a certified skydiver and avid beachgoer, and she loves to travel in her spare time, especially if it includes a West Coast road trip.
