Merrilyn MaGee

Title

Front Office Coordinator

Anyone who enters the lobby or calls the front desk of Xenium gets the absolute pleasure of meeting our beloved Merrilyn. Her job is to greet the public and announce our guest arrivals, but anyone who knows Merrilyn understands that she does so much more – making each and every person she greets feel welcome and special.

Merrilyn began at the Tualatin Express Headquarters in 1998 as the Front Office Coordinator, and she now works for The Stoller Group, sharing time between Xenium and Express. She has been asked many times over the years whether she would like to move to another position. Her answer is always the same … she LOVES what she does in the front office! (And it shows…) There is nobody better at answering the switchboard, directing calls to the staff, and enthusiastically helping with any projects that come up throughout the day.

Prior to her current position, Merrilyn worked for the PUD in Kennewick, WA for 12 years in the customer service and credit departments. She moved back to Portland in 1998 and was thrilled to start her new position in a brand new office building. She likes to tell people that she “came with the furniture!”

Merrilyn was born and raised in Portland, spending some time in her adult life also in Salem and Black Butte Ranch before settling in Portland again. Her daughter is a middle school teacher in the area and her son lives in Denver and works in the golf business. She has four beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband, Chuck, attended Wilson High School together (a few years ago). They enjoy trips to Maui and happy hours on their patio. Merrilyn also loves to read – one of her favorite books (there are many) is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Her favorite food is pizza … she never met one she didn’t like!!
