Rachelle joined our new Vancouver, WA office as a Senior Payroll Specialist in February of 2019, where she says she gets to “play with payrolls all day!” She brings 24 years of payroll experience to Xenium, beginning with her first job in payroll in 1995 working for a large payroll company, first as a Payroll Specialist then in the Implementation/New Account department. When she moved to Washington in 1999 she spent the next six years working for two large property management firms as the President of their payroll division. In 2005, Rachelle started her own payroll consulting firm, spending the next 12 years working closely with non-profits and local small business owners in the Vancouver area, which has always been a big passion of hers. Recently, in 2017, she dissolved her company and decided to go back into the corporate world, working most recently for a large HR/payroll/staffing company, where she was introduced to the world of PEO’s. She enjoys discovering her clients’ business dreams and goals and helping to achieve them.
Rachelle had been eyeing Xenium since 2017, since her “high school band parent” friend Kristy Roberts has been with Xenium for over 25 years. However, she did not want to make the daily commute to Tualatin. Within a week of the Xenium Vancouver office opening, Rachelle applied and was offered the job!
Springfield, Oregon was Rachelle’s first home, but her family spent a lot of her childhood moving for her dad’s military career. She has lived in California, Illinois and she currently calls Washington state her home. She has lived there since 1999. New Zealand is where she would like to retire!
Rachelle is a single mom of two amazing, brilliant daughters. They have two Australian Cattledog rescues, Calli & Blue. Blue is a deaf two-year-old who Rachelle and her daughters have taught American Sign Language. They have a travel trailer and love to go “glamping,” hiking and paddle boarding. In her spare time she volunteers for several non-profits, travelling once every two years to Kanab, Utah to work for a week at her favorite non-profit called Best Friends Animal Society. They love working with the animals and hiking Angel Canyon.
A few of Rachelle’s favorite things … the movie ET, being a vegetarian and trying new foods, music and concerts. She and her daughters average about 5 concerts per year!
