Jenn Banning
Jenn Banning joined Xenium late in 2009 as our Benefits Coordinator and is now part of our HR team as a Human Resource Representative. She had a background in HR when she first came to Xenium from Express Home Help, where she held the position of Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator. She was with Express Home Help for a year and a half prior to her move to Xenium. During that time, she developed many transferable skills; chief among them is her warm customer service as she was working with the vulnerable population and people with special needs.
Jenn enjoyed many aspects of her position with Home Help. She found a great interest in training, hiring, and scheduling the staff. Jenn also enjoyed holding job fairs and presenting for potential referral sources. Jenn’s professionalism, passion, and ambition for success shine in her day-to-day work, making the transition to Xenium a seamless one.
Prior to Express Home Help Jenn was an Express Employment Ready Pool staff member. In this role, she maintained a high level of organization and multi-tasking as she traveled between Express Offices to assist as needed. During this time, Jenn developed strong staffing skills and was able to use them during her employment with EHH.
A consistent hallmark in Jenn’s career has been her strong commitment to helping people, making her position within the Benefits and HR teams a natural fit for her ability to problem research, resolve, and relay complex insurance information and act as an empathetic liaison between Xenium’s clients, client employees and various benefits providers.
Jenn graduated from Oregon State University where she earned a BS is Merchandising Management with an emphasis of Communication in Organizations. Jenn’s interest in HR management is what attracted her to the position with Xenium. Outside of Xenium, Jenn is heavily involved in the Portland community, including Local Charity Abby’s closet.
