Josh Armstrong
Josh Armstrong joined the Xenium team in August 2011, as the Risk and Safety Specialist. Prior to joining Xenium, Josh worked as the Workers' Compensation/Risk Manager for two national fast-paced PEO and Staffing companies, where he managed their worker’s compensation claims: initiating first report of injury reports with their various insurance carriers, staying on top of the claims to make sure they were closed ASAP in order to reduce the amount of loss the companies would be exposed to. Josh provided risk consultation to the sales/ownership team in order to reduce the amount of losses associated with partnering with clients that did not share the companies’ proactive approach to minimize workplace injuries. Josh worked closely with clients to provide safety training, worksite evaluations, safety meetings, and implement plans of action that reduced work place injuries.
Josh has been in the staffing industry for 8 years. He has had the pleasure of running his own book of business as a staffing coordinator doing full cycle recruiting; as well as, managing a staffing office in Portland. During this time Josh developed safety programs and guidelines as a value added sales tool.
Josh believes in working safe and encourages doing the work required up front to make sure the clients and employees we partner with are like minded so exposure to injuries are minimized.
Josh is married to Jennifer and they live in Vancouver, WA with their three children Matthew, Isaiah and Alysha. In his off time he enjoys watching Matthew as a QB for his football team, Isaiah with his karate and Alysha being his little princess. Josh is the Head Varsity Volleyball coach in his off time for a high school in Vancouver and has had to coach and play volleyball at all levels.
