Portland-Based Businesses Host Economist John Mitchell for Post-Election Economic Presentation in November

Portland-based businesses Pacific Continental Bank, Xenium HR, Geffen Mesher & Company and Convergence Networks partner with John Mitchell, former chief economist of U.S. Bancorp, for post-election economic presentation
Portland, OR – November 1, 2012 – On November 13th, Xenium HR, Pacific Continental Bank, Geffen Mesher & Company and Convergence Networks will host John Mitchell, former chief economist of U.S. Bancorp, for a special economic update presentation. This event will be hosted at the Atrium at Montgomery Park in Portland, Oregon. The presentation begins at 8:00 a.m.
The event is designed to help local business leaders enhance their understanding of looming policy changes, the future of national & local housing markets, future growth of the economy, private vs. government hiring and long-term debt obligations & their impact on our future.
The event is complimentary for owners, CEOs and presidents of Oregon and Washington businesses.
John Mitchell received his B.A. degree from Williams College and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Oregon. He was a professor of economics at Boise State University for 13 years. John joined U.S. Bancorp in July of 1983 and was Chief Economist of U.S. Bancorp until July of 1998. John is a past president of the Portland Chapter of the National Association of Business Economists and has been giving economic presentations on the nation and region for more than 40 years.
