Payroll Coordinator


B.A. in Biblical Studies & M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, George Fox University; Ed. M in Adult Education/Organizational Management, Oregon State University

Steven joined Xenium as a Payroll Coordinator in August 2018, and in this role, he supports the Payroll Team in processing payroll and interacting with payroll clients.

Before coming to Xenium, Steven worked as a mental health counselor at United Gospel Mission of Salem and taught psychology courses at Corban University, Portland Community College, and Warner Pacific University. He has also worked in customer service as an associate manager for a Regal Cinemas branch. This career foundation provides Steven with a unique perspective on payroll and administration.

Steven holds a B.A. in biblical studies and an M.A. in clinical mental health counseling from George Fox University, as well as a master’s in adult education/organizational management from Oregon State University. In preparation for his career change, he also recently took accounting courses at George Fox University and Portland Community College.

Steven’s father was in the Navy, so he grew up in several U.S. cities, from Groton, Connecticut, to San Diego, California, to Hawaii. His family landed in Oregon in 1996, and he’s been here ever since. He lives with his wife of 16 years and their 7-year-old daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, hiking, and riding his motorcycle.
